Nationalday normally a 24 hour event, An on-the-air operating event sponsored by Sudanamateur radio Association (
SARA). was founded in 2022 by Dr.Musaab, ST2MH.It has grown to become the largest National Amateur event In Sudan.
Theevent relies on the Amateur Radio community and local hams for its success.Getting Ham Radio (including clubs and young amateurs) on the air to talk withother Amateur Radio. Around the world provides a great opportunity to exposeyouth to Amateur Radio.
SomeAmateur clubs team up to make a big splash with lots of activities, radios andantennas, offering a variety of modes to experience. For others, National day providesan opportunity to coach a smaller group of Amateur and to just have fun talkingon the radio. Amateur usually enjoy communicating by speaking into amicrophone, but some radio amateurs are able to provide other modes, such asslow-scan TV or amateur TV, satellites, packet radio, RTTY or even EME!
National dayFrequencies: 2 Meter FMSimplex144.300as Calling Channel. Always listen first to avoid interfering with another QSOor auxiliary or control link. Avoid 144.300, the National FM Simplex CallingFrequency, as well as 145.300, which is commonly used by mobiles and RVers.
