time date: 1200 gmt saturday january 22nd to 1200 gmt sunday january 23rd 2011.
classes: soe single operator expert all band soab single operator all band
mo multi-operator swl short wave listener
any operator with a top ten soe or soab placing in any bartg contest during the years
2008/2009/2010 must enter as an expert in soe; other stations may choose to enter the expert class
if they wish. the class entered must be shown in the log.
soe / soab entrants may only have one signal on the air at any time
soab entrants may only change band once in any 5 minute period
bands: 80, 40, 20, 15, 10 metres amateur bands. all band entry only
exchange: serial number only
qso points: each completed qso scores one point. stations may be contacted again on other
bands.
multipliers: all dxcc countries and ja, w, ve and vk areas count as multipliers. multipliers and
continents count only once in the contest regardless of band. us stations must use correct call or
suffix for area of operation. eg ab1cde/6 if operating from california
scoring: qso points x multipliers x continents (max 6).
log submission: logs must be submitted in cabrillo format by e-mail to: logs@bartg.org.uk
the contest name in your log must read bartg-sprint. the correct cabrillo format can be found
in the sample log on the bartg website www.bartg.org.uk
swl logs will be accepted as plain ascii text files showing date, band, callsign / message sent by
claimed station and callsign of station worked, in chronological order. a summary file showing scoring
and full name and address of entrant must be sent with all swl logs.
any incomplete entries will be classified as check logs.
e-mail: subject line of your e-mail entry must include your callsign and class entered e.g. gu0sup soab.
logs should be sent as plain ascii text attachment (no zip files please!) and include your callsign e.g.
gw4ska.log gm4kln.cbr gu0sup.dat g1xkz.txt
note: all entries failing to comply with these rules will be automatically returned to sender for
amendment.
deadline: all logs must be received by 1st march 2011in order to qualify.
the judge's decision will be final and no correspondence can be entered into in respect of incorrect
or late entries. all logs submitted shall remain the property of the bartg.
trophies will be awarded to category winners. certificates will be awarded to the top ten stations in
each class.
additional notes: contestants may claim any of bartg’s extensive range of awards from
contacts made in our contests. holders of existing awards may add new countries to their records. a
copy of your contest log together with the award claim should be sent to awards@bartg.org.uk.
