ham友谊无国界 等待53年的心愿
——关注美国79岁老ham k5pxl期待呼叫中国

2010年7月20日，bh7ozg忙完了一天的工作，晚上在短波上通联，收看邮箱的时候，看到一封来信，这是一封来自美国佛罗里达州的一位79岁的老人的邮件。一段感人的帮助这位老人实现心愿的故事将从这里开始！
邮件内容如下：
hi jason. i saw your callsign posted on the ve7cc-1 cluster that i use quite frequently. i read your page on qrz.com and saw your email posted. decided to send you an email. my callsign is k5pxl and russ is my name. jason i have been a "ham" radio operator for 53 years and i have never worked china. i have not heard china more than 2 or 3 times in all those years. its really odd because i have worked japan, korea, mongonlia, indonisia, austrailia, new zealand, the philliphines, india and many of the pacific islands but never china. from the qrz.com page i see that you often work 20 meters at 14.270. i am monitoring that frequency as i write this. i wonder, if you are not to busy, would you email me and tell me what time of day, in utc time, you operate on 14.270 and when is the path to north america (the usa) open to you. i live in panama city, florida which is located on the north end of the gulf of mexico. panama city would be considered by you as being on the east coast of the usa. when is 20 meters open to you from here. i am already 79 years old so i don't have that many more years left to me to wait. lol. hope to hear from you soon. here is my email address:

看完这封邮件，了解了这位老人的愿望，bh7ozg非常想帮助这位慈祥的美国老人实现愿望，于是当天23点47分在哈啰cq论坛发贴，希望广大的中国ham能抄收到老人的呼叫，及时回答，并能成功交换卡片，贴子发出后凌晨就开始有ham顶贴，很多ham主动发邮件给老人出对策想办法希望能帮助他早日通联中国，也有很多ham发出祝愿，bd2sh还告知让老人关注iota赛事，bg3nq则对两地的地理位置及传播效果作了分析，很多热情的中国ham们涌现出来，接下来会发生什么呢？
2010年7月27日，老人来信了，内容如下：
hi jason. i forgot to tell you. i put out the word locally here and several of the hams around the area have said they would be looking for china both here and down at 14.270. after you posted me i have received emails from 7 different hams in china so the posting got my callsign noticed over there. thanks. we have a tropical storm about 100 miles off the coast in the gulf of mexico tonight and coditions are really not as good as they are normally here at night. its 0515 utc here at the moment and i hear nothing but static all over 20 meters. i will keep trying for the next several nights and hope to come up with a contact before its all over. 73's, russ (k5pxl)

收到老人的信，bh7ozg马上发贴告诉大家这个消息，中国ＨＡＭ的热情让老人激动不已，同时也对通联中国有了更大的信心。bhozg在iota比赛中，还通联到了k4est，而且k4est是在家里的基地台和他通联的，k4est离老人非常的近，属于墨西哥湾。bh7ozg告诉大家，通联老人虽然有难度，但他会坚持，并希望大家能和他一样，注意听这位老人的声音，bh7ozg相信，不久一定会听见老人呼叫的声音，他坚持等待那个时刻的到来！
8月10日，再次收到老人的来信，老人说他依旧在14.270呼叫cq 并且等待中国ham的应答，到本文刊登止（8月17号），除了bh7ozg，还有更多的中国ham已经开始守候14.270频率，bh7ozg还给老人发去了这封邮件。如下：
