as you see some chinese put videos of both tranceiver. for me, i recommend iota enthusiast first or newbees ft-897 ft-857 ic-706 ic-7200 ft-450atft450at obviously has a spec for total balance with reliable automatic tuner than icom
and yaesu is very tough for dx ped like very dry wet humid and hot climate or condition
ft1000mkv field is great
so ft2000 is tough for dxped
in t88 rental shack you can use , ft2000 or ft1000mkv (olld) with 1kw amp is greatest

reliable even in the bad weather long term dxpediition
icom is weaker than yaesu one for heat or durability use generallly
this is a point to judge
for example,
when i go to miyako archipelago trip,
i need to send beacon on 6m to j22 or zs vq9 stations with 300kg luggages included hf 2ele minimulti yagi and 10m long boom 7ele yagi for 6m and scheduled,
using tranceive are heated up and broken the cpu
the one for beacon is ic706
the other tough guy is ft897
the cooling and total structure is very different
from yaesu and icom
for my true opinion,
just ic7200 at middle class trx is tough enough to dxpedition
or long transmission use
