i was going thur a box of radios that i have and came across this one
privacy plus 1000
model: t35jsa5g05ah
tried doing a search going to batlabs and googling but could not find any info on this raido so i have a few questions.
1. what frequency is it on?
2. what is the frequency spread?
3. trunking , conventional or both? (conventional would be cool)
4. how is it programed? batlabs says to use maxtrac rss or computer and i/o but how do i tell?
5. how many chanels?
6. what is its power output?
7. is it worth programing?
any and all info...........

if that's the model i'm thinking of it looks like a cell phone with a large remote rf deck. they are 800mhz type i trunking. i'm guessing the exact spread would be something like 806-866mhz. i'm not sure if they will do simplex or not. the rss was just for the pp1000/500, and it didn't require a rib; we just hooked them to the computer with a modular cable and adapter. i forget how many channels. power output was 35w on ours i think. it's worth programming if you have privacy plus system to use it on.
the really cool thing about them is that you can use them as a full duplex radio; like a cell phone. i used to work for occidental petroleum, and the pp1000 was our standard radio for us telecom guys. we had a large multi-state privacy plus trunking system with forward and reverse autopatch, so it was basically like have a nice wide-area cell phone for free.

my two bits worth:
i used one of these for years, it is used for motorola type-1 trunking, no "convetional channels"
it will do dispatch, as well as interconnect.
the pp500 was interconnect (telephone only)
the unit uses an eeprom, which used to come from motorola tcms department.
the chip can also be programmed with the safp soft ware
(stand alone field programmer) and the data i/o 29b programmer.
i presume that there must be some other way to program it.
