microsat being built here in new zealand. (kiwisat.org.nz refers)
i was given your name by bruce (kk5do) who suggested that you may be able to help with
acquiring some ic's from shenzhen. to save build funds i would like to get away from the
use of telegraphic transfer of funds and super efficient and fast courier shipping which is
totally unnecessary for most of the stuff we have to import. and we have to import a great
deal when it comes to space rated and/or "unusual" components! there is little available
here in nz!
we are about to start the flight ihu's and we need 8 in no.quicklogic fpga chips type
ql8x12b-2pl68c that are not available here and even difficult to get in the us i'm told.

company but alison chan - the contact person - has recognised our problem and has
suggested that we get someone to pick them up and send them on. that sounds a very
good idea hence my posting on the amsat-bb and bruce suggesting that you may be able to
help.
the price i have been quoted is us$5.27 per chip and we need 8.
the best option for us would be to use a visa card transaction but failing that i can - in 24
hrs - get a routine, reasonably priced bank draft and forward that. normal air mail small
package postage would be great if that would be possible.
if you could help us and give me a total costing i will be happy to set up a cash transfer to
suit.
