3y0x story mmtty
mmtty is really great at digging the signals out of the noise. i
tried several other programs on copying the signals from 3y0x and
mmtty beats them all. i use verticals here and so on antarctic
stations i often have a rapid qsb which seems to be from lp and sp
signals combining. mmtty seems to be able to be adjusted to copy with
that. for kicks i dug out my old st-6000 tu. mmtty was as good or
better. i usually run two instances of mmtty or mmvari with different
settings incase one hears better than the other.
they haven't heard me on rtty yet, but it ain't fer trying. i sure
wish that they would work na when their signal was strong here instead
of staying with ja or eu. i know those guys need their turn too, but
calling cq and ignoring the few na stations that got up early doesn't
seem fair. i guess i would grouse if i had worked them on rtty.
