thank you for giving ei2cn a qso with china last night. i listened to you for what seemed like ninety minutes but you were for most of the time too weak to copy at my qth. i had qsl cards from the bureau to answer so just listened. fortunately you stayed on frequency and there were europeans calling you but not too many. at this time you were operating and listening on the same frequency, simplex so listening was interesting. i knew you were still there. about ten minutes before we worked your signal started building from the muck and about 22:50 your signal really started to strengthen. it was as if you had a rotary beam on 160m. i heard a cn and a few minutes later a g worked you – you were now an honest 559 and immediately after the g you were so good as to answer my call. despite qrm from other europeans who had now come on frequency i was able to copy you through them – wow! persistence sometimes pays. it was such a thrill to work you.
monday, i will send you a qsl with sae and either irc or $2. if it takes $3 then i will send this. do you prefer the irc or would dollars be okay. ircs are not sold in ei though i have some current ones and can send you one of these with ease. thank you so much for this qso, i am very close to dxcc on top band and working china was a great thrill especially because of the way it happened.
