the atx walkabout covers all bands (including warc bands) from 80-6m, 5w guaranteed, 25w max. when fully telescoped it is about 65 inches long. this makes it ideal for the new ft-817 or any other portable hf radio. band changing is achieved by plugging in the "wander lead" into the appropriate socket on the base coil, and fine tuning adjustments are made using the 10 section telescopic whip. the whip unscrews from the base matching coil so that packed down, the antenna only measures only 13 inches.
