introduction
- this program is for editing "memory channels" and various settings on
the kenwood amateur radio th-f6a/f7e.
- this program runs on windows 95/98/me/2000 (*1).
- about 1.2m bytes of free space on the hard disk is needed to install this
program.
- at least 5mb of memory is required to run this program.
- to write to or read from the th-f6a/f7ea memory, a separate connector
cable pg-4p (option) is required.
- before connecting the th-f6a/f7e to a pc, first turn the
th-f6a/f7e power off.
- the latest version of this program can be obtained over the internet
from
http://www.kenwood.net/.- permission is required if this program is to be redistributed on
individuals' web site.
- any user may not be engaged in the following acts:
to revise, change, edit, merge, de-compile or reverse engineer the
software.
- the quality and performance of the products shall not warrant the
applicability to the purpose of any user. kenwood shall not assume
any liability for the defect, or warrant anything other than expressly
provided in the document. the selection and introduction of the products
as well as the results therefrom shall be upon the liability of the users.
- kenwood shall own all copyrights and other intellectual properties
for the products and all manuals and documents attached to the products.
user shall be hereby allowed to use, not sell, the software packed in
the products by kenwood. while the disc in which the software is stored
is possessed by the user, the ownership for the software itself shall be
reserved for kenwood.
installation
1. copy mfx010.exe to the directory in which you want to install the program.
2. execute mfx010.exe. the following programs are automatically created:
mcp_f6f7.exe
3. start the program by executing mcp_f6f7.exe
uninstallation
1. delete the entire directory to which the following files have been copied:
mcp_f6f7.exe
2. you can also use short-cut commands to delete the directory if it was made
using short-cut commands.
3. delete "software" "kenwood" from "hkey_current_user" by regedit command.
however, delete only "mcp-fx" under "kenwood" when other mcps are
installed.
carefully carry out registry operations taking care not to delete other
registry data. if you are unsure of registry operations, no problems will
occur if you do not delete files.

caution
-a help file is not available with this beta version.
-if you choose wrong country version when starting this program at the first
time, "read" data from the radio corrects the version.
